Intro
MarkGen is a platform that helps financial professionals generate market reports quickly for their clients with AI.
Problem
Financial market reports are written on a daily and weekly basis. The current process is not only very repetitive and time consuming but also takes away time from other important tasks.
User Research
We interviewed four individuals, comprising of investment officers, financial advisors, and investor clients to understand how reports are written and utilized, as well as to identify their pain points.

Based on the interview results, a user persona was created to understand the needs and goals of each type of user. Below is an example of the primary user persona.
Value Proposition
A value proposition canvas was created for each persona to help determine the features that we would develop for our product. Below is an example of the primary value proposition.
User interface
We incorporated the logo’s colour palette and designed the interface to resemble a document editor, creating a sense of familiarity since most users are accustomed to generating reports with word processing software.
